About Us - North Jersey Bengali Association

NORTH JERSEY BENGALI ASSOCIATION (NJBA) is a non-profit and socio-cultural organization built on the core values of Philanthropy, Culture and Inclusiveness. We pride ourselves in hosting various religious and cultural events in an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. This organization will not engage in political or legislative activities prohibited under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

The Specific Purpose of This Organization Shall Be:

To organize and conduct religious and cultural events that foster the rich and inclusive tradition and heritage of the Bengali culture to further the American multi-cultural environment

To serve the need of local community and other communities in need by participating in various charitable activities that address homelessness, food insecurity and humanitarian issues

To facilitate learning of Bengali language, culture, art, handicrafts and traditions to any interested member of the community

Organize and conduct community outreach events and fundraisers to collect funds for charitable causes
